HISTORY OF TOWN

The mass consumption era begins in the Heian era , and what "付喪神(Tsukumogami)" has begun to spread among is said to be after . The tools which had been used in the shade that a production technology developed , and new tools were produced so far were discarded . Because there was the faith that I disguised myself as when a soul dwelled in an old thing and treated the secondhand articles which finished a duty , and were thrown away rudely , they were suggested as a personified ghost , and the people might hold the attachment with fear .

What I have begun to resell a discarded secondhand article to is considered to be the origin of the old secondhand articles bazaar of Kitano-Tenman-gu Shrine(北野天満宮) of Kyoto . It is said that a course of " Tsukumogami parade of night (付喪神夜行) " that Tsukumogami dwelling in a secondhand article thrown away by a human being band together at midnight and march is in current "ICHIJOU Street"of Kyoto .

TSUKUMO TOWN MALL

There is community in uninhabited TSUKUMO TOWN from the convenience store to a service station, the bank by "TSUKUMO TOWN Regulations".

Much God began to gradually settle down in the town which finished a duty, and was left by a human being and prospered as a hometown of 付喪神 (Tsukumogami).

It is now when I can obtain a thing anywhere anytime, common modern scenery, but the cheerful life of ghosts is developed there.

Town mayor used the gold leaf which was Japanese bright tradition culture for an art work including Japanese old tradition culture and a search of the mind to dwell in there .
